Fat Tire E-Bike Rental - Volcanoes National Park

Rent a fat tire e-bike and explore Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park at your own pace. The 3.5-hour rental gives you access to the only fat tire e-bikes operating inside the park, letting you cover many miles effortlessly on the approved roads and trails while stopping at all the major volcanic sites.

The bikes are powerful, fun, and easy to ride — the team provides a demonstration before you head out. Two rental windows are available: 8:30 AM–12:00 PM or 12:15 PM–3:45 PM. Pick up and return at the overflow parking at Kilauea Lodge and Restaurant on Old Volcano Road.

Rentals are $125 per day. Park entrance fees are not included — bring your National Parks pass or pay at the gate. Riders should be intermediate or better on a standard bicycle (the bikes weigh 55–60 lbs with 26-inch frames). Bring waterproof clothing as the park is inside a rainforest. No refunds for rain or inability to ride. Cancellations require 7 days' notice.
