Falls and garden: $10 per adult, $5 for children 5 to 10, free for 4 and under (the place's own site) · self-guidedHakalau

A triple-tier waterfall on private grounds in Hakalau, seen on a paid, self-guided falls and garden visit.

Umauma Falls is a triple-tier waterfall viewed on the private grounds of The Umauma Experience, on Old Mamalahoa Highway in Hakalau. Look for a steep concrete driveway under a wooden sign, stop at the visitor center at the top, then, for now, drive a concrete road to the falls and garden. The garden walk follows the Umauma River through a palm forest past a very large native ʻōhiʻa lehua tree. The falls and garden visit has its own fee, and it is included with some of the activities sold there. The business lists different opening days on different pages of its site, so check before you go.
