Laupāhoehoe is a community on the Hāmākua Coast, the wet northeastern side of Hawaiʻi Island north of Hilo. Laupāhoehoe Point Beach Park, a County park on Laupahoehoe Point Road, has a grass field, a rocky shoreline, a pavilion, restrooms and camping by permit. The County lists the boat ramp there as closed because of unsafe conditions.
