About this tour
This e-bike tour rides the roads of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, with guides from Volcano Ohana sharing knowledge of the park's geology and discussing the flora and fauna found inside. Currently, all bike trails in the park are closed due to volcanic activity, so the route follows park roads. The tour stops at notable spots throughout the park. It is rated moderate and is open to intermediate or better cyclists who can ride a standard two-wheeled bike. Riders who are not yet comfortable on a two-wheeled bike should not book, as inability to ride does not qualify for a refund.
Each rider receives a fat tire e-bike, a helmet, and a bottle of water. Closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a rain jacket are worth bringing. Beginner bike lessons and rain gear are not provided. Park entrance fees are separate from the tour cost and are required for entry. A National Park Pass is accepted in place of the per-vehicle entrance fee.
