eBike Culture and Swim Tour

Explore The Umauma Experience on premium electric bikes on this guided 1.5–2 hour cultural tour that combines Hawaiian history, native plant education, and a private waterfall swim. Pedal through beautiful landscapes on paved terrain — the eBikes make it easy and comfortable for all fitness levels — while your knowledgeable guide narrates the journey through the property.

View Umauma's famous triple-tier waterfall and learn about native Hawaiian trees, plants, and culture along the way. Stop at a traditional hale (house) to deepen your understanding of Hawaiian traditions, including the importance of taro, the medicinal uses of kukui nut, and the many resourceful applications of coconut. After the cultural portion, cool off with a swim at a private waterfall before returning to the starting point.

Two daily tour times available: 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. Located at 31-313 Old Mamalahoa Highway in Hakalau on the scenic Hāmākua Coast. Ages 15 and up — minors must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older. 48-hour cancellation policy. Tours may be cancelled due to thunder, lightning, or strong winds.
