Hawaiian Beach Cliffs Scenic Fat Tire E-Bike Tour

Ride fat tire e-bikes along the Big Island's southeastern coast on this four-hour guided tour through rainforest, hardened 2018 lava flows, and dramatic beach cliffs. Starting from Kea'au, the route takes you through the lush Puna rainforest with its tree tunnels, past the solidified lava that reshaped the landscape during Kīlauea's 2018 eruption, and out to the newest black sand beach on the island — created by that same eruption.

Your guide shares stories about daily life on an island with the world's most active volcano, the geology behind the lava flows, and the community's relationship with the land. The tour includes snacks and bottled water.

The tour is $189 per person, ages 15 and older. Meet at the HNF Gas Station in Kea'au. Riders should be intermediate or better on a standard bicycle (bikes weigh 55–60 lbs). Bring close-toed shoes, sunglasses (required for riding), and a rain jacket. Cancellations require 7 days' notice.
