Beekeeping Tour

This approximately 1-hour experience pairs you with experienced beekeepers who guide you through a tour and inspection of a live hive, where you can watch and learn how bees live and forage. You'll observe firsthand how bees behave in their natural environment while enjoying free sampling of all their different honey varietals produced right on-site. A short video explains the production of honey from flower to jar, showing you the intricate work behind every drop of this liquid gold. Once the tour is over, you are welcome to browse the museum's artifacts and historical items, and peruse the many unique, locally produced gift items-perfect souvenirs or pantry additions.

Each beekeeping tour Captain Cook session accommodates up to eight people, ensuring personalized attention and proper social distancing. The facility welcomes strollers and wheelchairs, with both indoor and outdoor portions taking place under cover and minimal walking required. You won't need protective clothing-shorts, sleeveless shirts, and sandals work perfectly for this safe, educational adventure.

Tours run Monday through Friday and require advance reservations for all participants, including children. Please make sure to reserve space for each member of your party, including children.
