About this tour
At Heavenly Hawaiian Coffee Farm in Holualoa, the Paniolo Coffee Roasting Experience puts guests directly in front of an open flame to roast their own Kona Coffee beans. A farm roaster guides the session, coaching participants to rely on smell, sound, and sight to judge when the roast is ready.
Each guest selects green coffee beans, roasts them, then cools, names, and packages the batch to take home sealed. Tastings of several premium Kona coffees are included, along with a specialty sample from the Konalani Coffee Bar or a taste of handmade candies. A safety briefing covers the open-flame equipment before the session begins.
The tour meets at the farm's Hilltop Welcome Center, where free parking is available. Comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and sun protection are recommended.
