Geothermal Ponds

Soak in Hawaii's only geothermal hot ponds on this 3-hour guided tour with Bathing Suits and Rain Boots. Meet at Kohala Coffee, then drive along one of the island's most scenic coastal roads past ocean cliffs and tidepools. Stop at a culturally significant location to learn about Hawaiian plants, customs, and beliefs before heading to the newest black sand beach created by the 2018 lava flow. Swim in three different geothermal ponds, including a hidden hot spring tucked in the jungle — heated naturally by underground magma to about 99–105°F.
