Comfortable shoes are a must for this farm tour because the terrain can be uneven on a working farm. The farm also recommends bringing sunscreen, a hat, and water for your visit. Coffee is provided, so you do not need to worry about that. Uluwehi Coffee Farm is a 5-acre working farm in Holualoa, and the ground conditions reflect that. Dressing practically will help you stay comfortable as you walk through the farm with Franck and learn about the full coffee transformation process, from seedling to roasting.

The Coffee Farm Experience at Uluwehi Coffee Farm runs on Tuesdays and Fridays, with sessions starting at 9:00am and 10:30am. Each session lasts one hour, giving you two time slot options on each available day. Because sessions are limited to specific days and start times, it is worth planning your Kona itinerary around these windows. Booking in advance is a practical step since the farm is a small, 5-acre single-source specialty operation and availability may be limited on any given day.

During the tour, you will walk the farm with Franck, who guides you through each step of the coffee transformation process - from coffee cherries to green beans - and explains how different processing methods affect the flavor of the final cup. The tour wraps up with a chance to enjoy award-winning Kona coffee. Uluwehi Coffee Farm handles the entire process on-site, from seedling through roasting, which makes it a single-source specialty experience. The farm is located in the Kona coffee belt in Holualoa and offers views of the surrounding area while you learn about what goes into producing high-quality Kona coffee.

You can cancel the Coffee Farm Experience and receive a full refund or credit if you give at least 24 hours notice before your scheduled session. If the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you will also receive a full refund or credit. To cancel, you need to contact the farm by phone - not through an online form. It is important to note that no-shows will be charged the full price, so if your plans change, reaching out by phone with enough advance notice is the right step to avoid losing your payment.

The Coffee Farm Experience is designed as an educational walk with Franck, who explains each stage of the coffee transformation process in accessible terms - from how coffee grows to how processing choices shape the taste of your cup. No prior coffee knowledge is needed to enjoy or benefit from the tour. Uluwehi Coffee Farm focuses on single-source specialty coffee and handles everything from seedling to roasting on its 5 acres in Holualoa. The guided format means Franck leads the learning, making the experience approachable for curious visitors at any familiarity level with coffee farming or production.
