About this tour
The Ohana Ranch ATV Tour takes place on a working farm in Mountain View on the Big Island of Hawaii. Riders follow private trails through fruit trees, open fields, and growing areas where taro, guava, and Hawaiian coffee are cultivated. A local farm expert leads the ride, sharing cultural insights into traditional Hawaiian farming and the relationship between the land and local life. Along the way, riders stop to pick seasonal fruit when it is available and meet farm animals on the property.
Before setting out, every rider goes through a safety briefing and a short practice session to get comfortable with the controls, making this a good fit for first-timers as well as those with prior experience on ATVs. Children can ride as passengers in a side-by-side vehicle with a licensed driver. The ranch provides safety gear and boots to borrow if needed. Guests should wear clothing they do not mind getting dirty and bring a reusable water bottle.
