Junior Freediver
About this tour
Set your young diver on the right path with this 2-day Junior Freediver course, designed specifically for ages 12–17. Developed by FII with academics adapted by grade school teaching professionals, the course uses games and activities to teach fundamental freediving skills and safety protocols in a way that's engaging and age-appropriate.
Students build safe habits and watermanship skills through classroom instruction, confined water training, and an open water dive at Two Step — one of Kona's most beautiful dive sites. By the end of the course, junior freedivers are trained to dive safely to a maximum depth of 50 feet (15 meters).
With a maximum 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio, every young diver gets personalized attention throughout the course.
