Hulakai offers delivery for bodyboard rentals, but there are two requirements: you must give at least 24 hours notice before your rental start date, and you must book a minimum of 2 days. Delivery is available to residences such as condos, Airbnb properties, and hotels. It is important to note that Hulakai will not deliver rentals directly to beaches, so you will need a valid residential address to qualify for delivery. If you are staying at a vacation rental or hotel in the Waikoloa area, that address should meet the delivery requirement. Plan ahead so you have enough lead time to arrange everything before your beach day.

Hulakai rents bodyboards in the 40-inch to 42-inch range, which are standard recreational sizes suited for most adult and older teen riders. These boards are commonly referred to as both bodyboards and boogie boards, and the rental is available on a daily or weekly basis. If you are planning an extended stay, booking a weekly rental rather than multiple daily rentals may be a practical option. The rental is operated out of Waikoloa Beach Resort at 69-250 Waikoloa Beach Drive, Unit D8, so you can also pick up the board directly from that location if delivery does not fit your plans.

You can cancel your bodyboard rental and receive a full refund as long as you cancel at least 24 hours before your rental is scheduled to begin. Cancellations must be submitted by email to Hulakai, and the same full-refund policy applies if the operator cancels due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. The one situation where no refund is issued is a no-show, meaning if you simply do not show up without canceling in advance, you will be charged the full price. To avoid any issues, reach out by email as early as possible if your plans change. Keeping the 24-hour window in mind is key when deciding whether to book.

Single-day bodyboard rentals are available from Hulakai, so you are not required to commit to multiple days when you book. The rental is offered on both a per-day and per-week basis, giving you flexibility depending on how long you plan to be near the water. The only situation where a multi-day minimum applies is if you want delivery to your accommodation - that requires a 2-day minimum rental along with 24 hours advance notice. If you only need the board for one day, picking it up directly from the Waikoloa Beach Resort location at Unit D8 is the straightforward option.
