SCUBA Refresher Course

Get back into the underwater world with this quick 1.5-hour SCUBA refresher course in a heated indoor pool. Ideal for certified divers who haven't been in the water for a while and want to rebuild their confidence before booking a shore or boat dive in Hilo.

The refresher covers essential skills: gear assembly, predive safety checks, mask removal and replacement, emergency weight drop, neutral buoyancy and hovering, alternate air source use and ascent, plus any other underwater skills you'd like to practice. Experienced divemasters and instructors ensure you have a safe and fun experience getting back up to speed.

With the refresher taking only about 1.5 hours to complete, you can easily pair it with one of Hilo Ocean Adventures' shore or boat dives the same day to put your refreshed skills to use on the island's fantastic dive sites.

Important: eLearning, PADI Medical and Liability paperwork, and the student learning agreement must be completed before your session. Arriving without completed paperwork results in a $50 make-up fee or $100 rescheduling fee. Certification courses are non-refundable but can be rescheduled within one year.

Ages 10 and up. Must be a certified diver. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled session.
