Begin at Wailuku River State Park for Rainbow Falls and Boiling Pots, then visit the exclusive Kulaniapia Falls - a stunning 120-foot private waterfall on a 42-acre eco-property. Weather permitting, swim in the protected pool beneath the falls, or rent kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. Only a limited number of guests can visit each day, making this a truly special experience.
Enjoy an included lunch at a local Hilo restaurant, then cruise the scenic Onomea coastal route before hiking Akaka Falls State Park to see the magnificent 442-foot Akaka Falls. Continue up the beautiful Hamakua Coast Heritage Corridor to the Waipio Valley Lookout, then pass through the paniolo town of Waimea before returning to your lodging.
Optional add-ons at Kulaniapia Falls include waterfall rappelling (120-foot descent beside the falls) and a farm-to-table cooking class.
