Start at the summit of Kīlauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes, for stunning views of Halema'uma'u Crater. Feel the hot steam rising from the earth at Wahinekapu Steaming Bluffs, then walk through the 500-year-old, 600-foot-long Thurston Lava Tube surrounded by native ōhi'a forest.

The tour continues down the full 22-mile Chain of Craters Road to the coast, stopping at various craters, historical lava flows, and eruption sites including the 1969-1974 Maunaulu eruption. At road's end, walk the coastal bluffs to see the Hōlei Sea Arch. Additional stops can include Kīlauea Iki, Devastation Trail, Pu'uloa Petroglyph Field, and Kīpukapuaulu Bird Trail.
