Vanilla Tasting + Farm Tour

The Hawaiian Vanilla Company's Tasting Tour offers a hands-on culinary experience where you'll learn to cook with vanilla and explore its unique flavor characteristics across both savory and sweet applications. This two-hour experience at their Paauilo farm on the Hamakua Coast combines a live cooking demonstration with a multi-course tasting menu, followed by a guided tour of the vanilla vineyard.

The tasting begins with shrimp pan-cooked in butter and Hawaiian vanilla garam masala spice mix served on toasted crostini with vanilla pineapple chutney. Subsequent courses include a fresh organic green salad with vanilla honey pepper pecans and vanilla raspberry balsamic vinaigrette, roasted red bell pepper and tomato bisque soup, and a sample platter featuring puff pastries with roasted red bell pepper cream cheese and vanilla pepper jelly, puff pastries with caramelized onions and brie topped with vanilla mango chutney, vanilla lilikoi pound cake, and vanilla banana bread with vanilla maple syrup. The experience concludes with Hawaiian vanilla ice cream and vanilla coffee service after the farm tour.
