The session is led by a fourth-generation Master Carver from Polynesia who provides hands-on instruction and guides you through traditional techniques from start to finish, so beginners can fully participate and complete an authentic wood carving to take home. The workshop takes place in a small, intimate setting with a group size limited to just five participants. That close ratio means the Master Carver can give individual attention to each person, making it a practical and approachable experience regardless of your skill level. The session runs approximately 2.5 hours at Aloha Adventure Farms in Holualoa.

The carving workshop runs on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at two session times - 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. You meet at Aloha Adventure Farms, located at 77-6261 Mamalahoa Highway in Holualoa, Hawaii. The overall duration of the workshop is approximately 2.5 hours. It is important to note that only paid participants are allowed at the carving hale, so guests who are not booked cannot accompany you into the session area. The Polynesian Carving Tour includes instruction from a fourth-generation Master Carver, top-quality locally grown Big Island wood, and guided use of carving techniques so you can complete and keep your finished piece. Water, bug spray, and a light jacket or long sleeves are not included and are recommended items to bring from home. Because the workshop takes place at a working farm in Holualoa, bringing a light layer and bug spray can make the experience more comfortable depending on conditions at the time of your visit. Everything needed to complete your wood carving keepsake under expert guidance is provided as part of the session itself.

You will receive a full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled session. Cancellations made within 48 hours are considered final with no refund issued, and modifying a booking within that 48-hour window may result in a rebooking fee of $50 per person. No-shows are charged the full price. Trip Protection is available as an optional add-on, allowing you to cancel or reschedule for any reason up to 12 hours before the tour starts in exchange for a full ticket reimbursement, minus the cost of trip protection and processing fees. The carving tour runs rain or shine, and weather-related cancellations are made at the sole discretion of Aloha Adventure Farms staff. Cancellations on their end typically occur only in cases of thunderstorms or heavy rain, not light or moderate rainfall. If the operator does cancel, they will attempt to contact you to reschedule or provide a voucher. If you are unable to attend a rescheduled session following an operator cancellation, a full refund will be provided. This policy covers both weather-related cancellations and other unforeseen circumstances on the operator's side.
