About this tour
The Exotic Fruit Tasting Tour takes place at Aloha Adventure Farms in Holualoa on the Big Island. Guests meet at the farm's address on Mamalahoa Highway, so there is no hotel pickup, and travelers will need their own transportation to get there.
An expert guide leads the group through a rotating selection of Hawaii-grown fruits, which changes based on what is in season and what the farm is currently harvesting. Familiar fruits like pineapple and mango appear alongside rarer varieties such as jaboticaba and mangosteen. The guide covers each fruit's origins, how it is cultivated, and its place in local agricultural history. Water, napkins, and utensils are included. Bug spray is not provided, so bringing some along is a good idea.
The tour is weather dependent, and Aloha Adventure Farms staff make the call on cancellations, typically when thunderstorms or heavy rain arrive. Because the fruit selection depends on the season, no specific variety can be promised in advance.

What fruits can I expect to taste on the Exotic Fruit Tasting Tour?
The tour features a rotating selection of Hawaii-grown fruits that changes based on what is in season at harvest time. You may sample classics like pineapple and mango alongside rarer varieties such as jaboticaba and mangosteen, plus fresh coconut water and other seasonal tropical treats. Because seasonal availability determines which fruits are offered, the exact lineup varies from visit to visit. This means no two tours are exactly alike, and the guide will explain each fruit's origins, cultivation, and role in Hawaiian agricultural heritage as you taste your way through the farm's current harvest.
How long does the Exotic Fruit Tasting Tour last, and how large are the groups?
The Exotic Fruit Tasting Tour runs for 1.5 hours and accommodates a maximum group size of 15 people. The smaller group format allows the expert guide to give personal attention while walking visitors through the farm's fruit varieties and the story of local agriculture. The tour is offered in English and takes place at Aloha Adventure Farms, located at 77-6261 Mamalahoa Highway in Holualoa on the Big Island. Because space is limited to 15 guests, the operator notes that others are often turned away once a tour time fills up, so booking in advance is advisable.
What is included with the Exotic Fruit Tasting Tour, and do I need to bring anything?
The tour includes exotic fruit tastings, water, napkins, and utensils - so you do not need to bring food or dining supplies. The one item specifically listed as not included is bug spray, which you may want to bring on your own for comfort during the farm visit. Beyond bug spray, the source material does not specify any other gear or clothing requirements for this tour. The experience is described as a guided tasting focused on education and sampling, so arriving ready to eat and learn is the main preparation involved.
What is the cancellation policy for the Exotic Fruit Tasting Tour?
You can receive a full refund by canceling at least 48 hours before your scheduled tour time. Cancellations made within 48 hours are considered final with no refund, and no-shows are charged the full price. The operator asks that you contact them by phone to cancel or ask about a cancellation. The operator also offers optional Trip Protection at booking, which allows you to cancel or reschedule for any reason up to 12 hours before departure, with a full reimbursement minus the cost of trip protection and processing fees.
