Check-in opens at 5:00 PM, and doors open at 5:30 PM, so arriving around 5:00 PM gives you time to settle in before the evening begins. The luau runs from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, making it a 2-3 hour experience overall. The first hour between 5:30 PM and 6:15 PM is dedicated to the Artisan Village, where you can explore local craft vendors, try lei making, watch a Poi Pounding demonstration, and participate in Ohe Kapala. Dinner service starts at 6:15 PM, and the main entertainment show kicks off at 6:45 PM.

The Feast & Fire Luau includes a full buffet featuring locally inspired dishes such as slow-cooked Kalua pork, island fresh catch, chicken long rice, and a poke bar, along with an assortment of local desserts. A full bar with beer, wine, and signature Mai Tais is also included. The buffet is described as a generous spread of island fare, so guests can expect a variety of flavors representing Hawaiian culinary traditions. The meal is served starting at 6:15 PM, giving guests roughly 30 minutes to dine before the entertainment show begins at 6:45 PM.

The Feast & Fire Luau features a dynamic Hawaiian show with music, fire, and dance performances led by Traditions Hawaii's award-winning cast of dancers, musicians, and artists. Cultural highlights include a torch lighting ceremony, conch shell ceremony, and live traditional theater and music. Before dinner, guests can participate in hands-on cultural activities at the Artisan Village, including lei making, a Poi Pounding demonstration, and Ohe Kapala - a form of Hawaiian bamboo stamp printing. There are also local craft vendors and photo opportunities with performers throughout the evening.

The Feast & Fire Luau requires at least 24 hours advance notice to cancel your reservation without being charged. Any cancellation made with less than 24 hours notice will result in a full-price charge to the guest. If you need to modify or cancel your reservation, you must call the resort directly at (808) 930-4914. It is a good idea to contact them as early as possible if your plans change, since the 24-hour window is a firm requirement and no exceptions are mentioned in the policy.

General seating at the Feast & Fire Luau is pre-assigned, which means your party may be seated alongside other guests rather than at a private table. If you prefer a different seating arrangement, you may want to look into other seating categories when booking. If you plan to drive yourself to the OUTRIGGER Kona Resort at 78-128 Ehukai Street in Kailua-Kona, optional self-parking is available for $10 per car. This parking fee is not included in the luau ticket and is an additional cost paid separately on the day of your visit.
