About this tour
Learn to surf in a small group setting at Kahalu'u Beach Park on the Kona Coast. With a maximum of four students per instructor, these 90-minute group lessons deliver personal attention and hands-on coaching while keeping the energy fun and social. The lesson is designed for beginners and first-timers, though returning surfers looking to improve will get instruction tailored to their level too.
Everything you need is provided - surfboard, rash guard, water shoes, and reef-safe sunscreen. Just bring a swimsuit and a towel. The session starts with gearing up and an on-land safety briefing before heading into the waves. The total lesson time is 90 minutes from start to finish, including the briefing.
Lessons run at Kahalu'u Beach Park on Ali'i Drive in Kailua-Kona. Ages 10 and up are welcome. Meet at the Kona Town Surf Adventures van at the beach park for check-in.
