About this tour
This guided shore dive along Hilo's coastline takes certified divers into the reef after dark, where nocturnal creatures emerge that rarely appear during daylight hours. A dive master leads the dive, pointing out eels, nudibranchs, brittlestars, fireworms, and nocturnal reef fish along the way.
The tour is rated difficult and suits certified divers holding an Open Water Diver certification or higher. Divers must show proof of certification at check-in, be able to follow detailed instruction in English, and carry their equipment unassisted. The tour is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant, over a certain weight limit, has back or mobility problems, or cannot swim unassisted in open ocean. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
No hotel pickup is provided, so plan your own transportation. The tour departs on time, and late arrivals will not be accommodated.
