About this tour
A private 7-hour shore excursion designed specifically for cruise ship guests docked in Hilo. Your guide picks you up directly at the Hilo Cruise Terminal - Big Island Backroad Adventures is permitted to enter the port - and takes you on a fully guided naturalist tour through botanical gardens, waterfalls, and the famous Hilo Farmers Market.
Explore Wailuku River State Park to see Rainbow Falls and the fascinating Boiling Pots (Pe'epe'e Falls). Continue north to the Hawaii Tropical Bioreserve and Gardens, home to over 2,500 tropical plant species, cascading Onomea Falls, and exclusive views of Onomea Bay. After a locally sourced lunch at a coastal restaurant, hike through Akaka Falls State Park to witness the spectacular 442-foot Akaka Falls.
