About this tour
Rappel Basecamp Adventure to the Waterfall takes place at Botanical World Adventures in Hakalau on the Big Island, where participants rappel off a deck positioned high above a gorge. The descent moves through a sequence of surfaces, starting on a stable deck, continuing onto an angled deck that simulates a ledge, then shifting to a vertical deck before reaching the rocky cliff face below.
The experience is designed as a starter rappel and serves as an introduction to the full rappel tour that goes into the waterfall mist.
All rappelling gear is provided, along with digital photos of the adventure, water, and fruit from nearby trees when in season. Closed-toe shoes are required, and long hair must be pulled back. Transportation to the meeting point is not included.
