Paddle a tandem kayak across Kealakekua Bay and snorkel at the Captain Cook Monument with Adventures in Paradise. This 3-hour guided tour departs from Napoopoo Pier and takes you on a 45-minute paddle each way to one of the Big Island's most celebrated snorkeling spots.
The waters around the monument are a marine sanctuary known for vibrant coral gardens, brightly colored tropical fish, and frequent visits from green sea turtles. Hawaiian spinner dolphins are spotted on more than half of all tours, and humpback whales make appearances during winter months.
Wide, stable open-deck tandem kayaks make the paddle manageable, and quality masks, snorkels, and fins are provided. Bottled water and snacks are included. Swimming ability and upper body strength are required — all guests ride in double kayaks.
Ages 10–65 welcome. Weight limit of 250 lbs per person. Check-in at 9:30 AM at Napoopoo Pier, with a 10:00 AM departure. Minimum of 2 guests required per trip.
