Kona Coffee Tour
This guided tour meets at a Kailua-Kona address and takes guests through the full journey of coffee production, from tree to finished roast. A guide opens with a talk on Kona coffee history, then leads the group among coffee trees so guests can see the cherries up close and take part in a hands-on picking and processing demonstration. The tour also includes a look at a traditional Fire Roaster and a stop at the "Welcome to Kona" sign for photos. Water is provided, and an optional tasting is available at the end, along with the chance to purchase coffee beans and souvenirs. Meals and snacks are not included. The tour is fully outdoors, and extreme weather can lead to changes or cancellation. Comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and a camera are worth bringing. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when required, and pregnant guests are advised to check with a physician before joining a walking tour.
