Skydiving with Big Island Gravity starts at a facility in Hawi, where participants meet their instructor, get fitted with gear, and go through a safety briefing before boarding the aircraft. The plane climbs above the Big Island, giving a broad view of the Kohala Coast, the Seven Sacred Valleys, and the grasslands surrounding Hawi. At altitude, participants jump tandem with a professional instructor, experience freefall, and then descend under a parachute before landing at a local airport. Anyone who boards the aircraft but chooses not to jump does not receive a refund, so arriving with a firm commitment to exit the plane is important. Weather or operational safety concerns may prompt Big Island Gravity to cancel or reschedule a reservation.
