Beyond snorkeling and scuba diving, Big Island Divers private charters can be booked for nighttime manta ray tours, whale watching, and scenic coastline tours along the Big Island. The experience is customizable based on what your group wants to do on the water. Because the charter is exclusive to your party, the itinerary can be shaped around your group's interests rather than a fixed schedule. Duration ranges from 3 to 12 hours, giving you flexibility to plan a short outing or a longer full-day adventure. Keep in mind that wildlife such as mantas and whales are wild animals, and their presence cannot be guaranteed.

Big Island Divers requires at least two weeks' notice to receive a full refund on a private charter cancellation. If you cancel within two weeks of your scheduled departure time, no refund will be issued, regardless of the reason for cancellation. The two-week window is calculated precisely from your charter's scheduled start time. For example, a charter beginning at 8am on January 17th must be canceled by 8am HST on January 3rd to qualify for a full refund. Big Island Divers encourages as much advance notice as possible if your plans change.

Smaller groups of 7 or more can be served by the Moana Lu'u, while the largest vessels handle up to 22 guests comfortably. The fleet includes four boats sized for different group needs. The Moana Lu'u fits 7-11 guests, the Moana Olapa holds 12-15, and both the Honu Iki and Kahanuola accommodate 14-22 passengers. Choosing the right boat for your group size will also affect the hourly rate, so it helps to have a headcount ready when you call to finalize your booking details.
