About
Kupau Tours offers private hiking guide services on the Big Island, connecting travelers with a local guide who knows the island's trails and terrain. The listing is built around the idea that someone already has a vehicle and wants local knowledge without searching for information on their own. A guide rooted in the island travels along to answer questions that a printed guidebook cannot address.
The service covers hiking on less-traveled paths and can reach high elevation on the mountain. Because the duration is set by agreement, travelers are not locked into a predetermined schedule.
Having a personal vehicle or rental car is part of how the service works, as described in the listing. The arrangement is billed by the hour, and a minimum number of hours applies. Anyone considering this option should come ready to spend at least that minimum on the trail, and can plan a longer outing if the agreement calls for it.
Kupau Tours is based in Kailua-Kona, Big Island. Big Island Activities lists 1 activity from Kupau Tours.
