With the operator. Big Island Activities helps you find and compare tours on the Big Island, but we do not sell them. When you click through to book, you go to the operator's own booking system. They take your payment, set the price, and run the tour.
No. You pay the same price you would pay booking direct with the operator.
Our booking links carry a tracking reference so the operator knows the referral came from us. That reference does not change the price, the availability, or the terms you see. There is a fuller explanation on our affiliate disclosure page.
You land on the operator's live booking calendar, where you pick a date and time and pay them directly.
Availability and pricing there are the operator's own and are always the authority. If anything on our page disagrees with what you see at checkout, the operator's system is correct.
No. Your confirmation, tickets and any reminders come from the operator, because the booking is theirs. We never hold your booking and we are never the merchant of record.
If you have not received a confirmation, contact the operator first.
Payments, changes and cancellations
The operator, through their own booking system. We never see or store your card details, and Big Island Activities is not part of the payment at any point.
Contact the operator directly, using the details on your confirmation. They hold the booking, so they are the only ones who can change or cancel it.
We cannot do it for you, and going through us would only slow it down.
It is set by each operator, so it varies from tour to tour. The policy that applies to your booking is shown on the operator's booking page before you pay, and again on your confirmation.
Many tours on Big Island Activities offer free cancellation up to a cut-off, but the tour you are looking at is the one that counts, so check it there.
The operator makes that call, usually on the day, and will contact you about a refund or a reschedule under their own policy.
Ocean conditions on the Big Island change quickly, so a cancellation is not unusual and is always made for safety. Anything to do with the money is between you and the operator.

Big Island Activities is run by Big Island Activities LLC, a Hawaii limited liability company based in Kailua Kona. We are a local business, not a global booking platform, and we list tours run by operators on the Big Island.
When you book through a link on our site, the operator or their booking platform may pay us a commission. It comes out of the operator's side, never added to what you pay.

No. We are not paid for placement. No operator can buy a higher ranking, a feature slot, or a recommendation here. Featured tours and our picks are chosen by us, not sold.
If that ever changes we will say so on the affiliate disclosure page and label the placement.
